The control panel is available from one to 32 zones and is designed to meet the functional requirements of BS5839:Part4. The system incorporates a number of important features including:- battery load test, zone disablement, one-man test and commission, all of which help reduce total installed costs.

 

The conventional system is supported by a range of LPC approved fire detectors including:- Optical Smoke, Ionisation Smoke, 60ºC Heat, Rate of Rise Heat and 90ºC High Temperature Heat.

 

The conventional range of fire control panels and detectors allows the installer to comply with BS5839:Part 1, (Design and Installation of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems). A patented design operating in the control panel and detector, allows up to 20 detectors to be removed from the zone circuit without affecting the operation of any manual call point.

 

Many competitor systems require either special end-of-line units or call points and detectors to be installed on separate zones in order to comply with this standard. The SMS conventional range does not, thus eliminating unnecessary costs.

 

The conventional fire range also includes manual call points, electronic bells, electronic sounders and other ancillary products such as flashing beacons and magnetic door holders.

 

Senator II is an analogue addressable system which is flexible, cost effective and suitable for a wide range of building applications. This analogue addressable fire control panel and associated range of sensors allows the installer to comply with BS5839:Part1, (Design and Installation of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems).
